Natural fat burner: how to prepare for cycling

Cycling is one of the most popular sports among amateur athletes and active people. It brings with it many good things, such as the fact that it is an effective fat burner. However, cycling, like any other sport, requires appropriate preparation.  Therefore, before buying your first bicycle it is worth knowing the following rules.

Why a bicycle?

Cycling is not only the answer to “how to lose weight fast”, but for many it is also a passion and a pleasure. This is because there are few types of physical activity that affect the human body as well as cycling. What are the effects of regular pedalling? Certainly, it improves fitness and the overall fitness of the body.

Daily cycling is beneficial for the heart and cardiovascular system. In combination with a slimming diet it allows to get rid of unnecessary fat tissue, strengthens the spine and bones. It also develops muscles and improves the silhouette. An hour of cycling at a leisurely pace is enough to burn around 500 calories. Better health is only a part of the positive sides of unicycles powered by human muscles. What are the other advantages of cycling?

Using two wheels has a salutary effect on mental fitness. It is not only about feeling better. The effects of regular use also include increased brain fitness and a reduced risk of neurological diseases and mental disorders.

What is also interesting is that a ride on two wheels allows us to get away from everyday problems and tedious duties. It helps us gain distance from important matters and gather our thoughts more easily. Our mind relaxes and reduces stress. We are then able to assess the situation better, gain strength for further actions and make the right decisions. Cycling is also a great hobby and a great way of life. Like any fascinating activity, it spurs us on, enables us to enjoy successes and gives us the strength to take on further challenges. It also provides a lot of emotions. Therefore, it is worth remembering that a bicycle is not only a natural fat burner, but also a sport and health “tool”.

Preparation – what is worth bearing in mind?

Cycling can be a lifelong passion for some, fun for others and still others use it as a slimming patch. A bicycle can have many beneficial effects on our body. However, before we buy a new bicycle and start riding it, it is worth remembering a few rules below. If you use your bike mainly in the daytime and during the spring-summer season, you do not particularly need to prepare for riding. Of course, from the technical point of view, the bike should be in good working order (our service centres in Poznań and Bydgoszcz will help you with this), whereas in the autumn-winter season appropriate preparation of the equipment, but also preparation of the cyclist himself plays a very important role. Here is what you should remember about:

  1. Lighting

Bicycle lighting, for general safety, is of considerable importance. It is useful not only early in the morning or in the evening. It is worth remembering, that during the day a lit cyclist is also much more visible. Therefore, if we use a bicycle, which is equipped with a hub with a generator, we should use the lights non-stop. If, on the other hand, we do not have such an option, we should be equipped with basic battery or USB lights.

  1. Bicycle mudguards

This is certainly a particularly useful accessory in our climate are mudguards. As well as protecting our clothes from getting dirty and wet, mudguards also help to keep our unicycle relatively clean. We encourage the use of bicycle mudguards. In fact, no-one likes to be hit by water, mud or other debris from under their wheels.

  1. Bicycle helmet

Wearing a helmet should be as obvious as wearing a seatbelt in the car or following a weight loss diet. Mostly cycling helmets are of no use to us, but there are situations in which a helmet on our head will save our life. We strongly encourage you to wear a helmet.

  1. Cycling clothing

In order to feel comfortable on a bicycle, we need to be warm but not hot at the same time. How far we have to go and how fast we are cycling are also important here. If our route is shorter than 5 kilometres, we usually dress warmer than if the route is longer. The reason for this is that we mustn’t dress too warmly for cycling (because we will sweat). After all, it is only after some time that our body is warmed up to the point where we are warm on cold days. So it is very good to apply dressing onions. It is better to have several thinner ones than, for example, two thick ones. It is then definitely easier to adapt our body temperature to the external circumstances.

  1. Pump and inner tube

What is the most common fault that causes us to be unable to continue riding? A damaged/punctured inner tube, of course. In the event of such a malfunction, it is always a good idea to have a spare inner tube and pump so that you can quickly change the tube and continue your journey.

  1. Luggage carrier

When we leave home for work or school, we need to take the things we need most with us. So what should we use to carry them safely and comfortably? The best solution, by far, is a set of luggage rack and pannier.

Cycling is one of the healthiest sporting activities, which for many acts as a slimming patch. Riding affects not only our body but also our mind as a result of which it is all the more good to take an interest in cycling and go for a long ride with it. However, cycling, like any other sport, requires proper preparation. Hence, the above list may prove very helpful.
